Once again, we are pleased to be able to offer a number of long distance trips aboard Emily Morgan, a 60 foot ketch built by Bowman yachts.

There are four separate trips available.  Anyone wishing to combine all of the trips can do so at a discounted price as detailed above.  There are 6 berths available on each trip.

Many people dream of accomplishing an Atlantic crossing - turn the dream into reality and join us on one of our blue water ocean adventures!  Emily Morgan is equipped with many “mod cons” ensuring that passages made aboard her are a comfortable and pleasurable experience.  She has two large heads with hot water showers and enough water capacity to allow fresh water showers all the way across the Atlantic!  She also has a 20 inch flat screen LCD TV and DVD player which operates on 12 volts battery power - pure luxury to watch a movie mid Atlantic!  A satellite telephone means communication with the outside world is always viable.  Emily Morgan is MCA Category 0 coded which means she measures up to the stringent safety standards put in place by the Maritime Coastguard Agency.  Category 0 signifies that her area of operation is classified as worldwide, without restrictions.

Passages LD2 and LD4 all count as a qualifying passage for anyone wishing to achieve the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean Certificate of Competence and all the necessary equipment and publications will be provided on board for taking sights and reducing them.

The passages will be skippered by the owner, Richard Oswald.  Richard has made several Atlantic crossings in both directions over the years and instructs for us on a part-time basis.  The feedback from students that have sailed with him on transatlantic passages as well as 5 day RYA courses is excellent.
