Accommodation
Accommodation is included on board the yacht from the Sunday prior to your course start until the Saturday morning after your course finishes provided that your arrival time at the yacht is prior to 22.00pm Spanish time. Arrivals after this time could potentially disturb other crew members who may be sleeping so shorebased accommodation must be found and you may join the yacht at 09.30am on Monday morning. Please remember when booking your flights that Spain is ONE HOUR AHEAD of Portugal and the UK. If you intend to catch the train or coach (see below for transfer options), you should ensure your arrival time at Faro airport is prior to 18.00pm Portuguese time (this ensures you can catch the 19.25pm train and arrive at the yacht by 22.00pm Spanish time). If you choose an airport transfer, you should ensure your arrival time at Faro airport is prior to 19.30pm Portuguese time for an arrival at the yacht by 22.00pm Spanish time. If you would like to take the opportunity to discover the Algarve either before or after your course, we will gladly arrange shorebased accommodation for you from B&B to 5 star luxury hotel.

Getting to Ayamonte from Faro airport couldn't be easier. The most convenient way is to take the coach transfer service from Faro airport to the Don Diego hotel in Ayamonte which is located right next to the marina. It costs 29 euros per person and can be booked online at www.shuttledirect.com They aim to have you away from the airport within half an hour of your flight landing. An alternative company offering the same service can be found at www.transfershuelva.com Transfers must be booked AT LEAST 30 hours in advance so it is advisable to book your return transfer when booking your outbound transfer.
Another economical way is to take the scenic train from Faro to Vila Real de Santo Antonio. The taxi fare between the airport and the train station costs about 12 euros and the train fare is 4.90 euros per person. The Portuguese taxi drivers may try to tell you there are no trains on a Sunday in an attempt to get you to hire them for the journey to Ayamonte instead of catching the train at a cost of 70 euros! This is complete rubbish!! The train journey takes approximately 1 hour and departure times from Faro on a Sunday are 12.25, 14.27, 16.25, 17.30 and 19.25 (times may change however we will happily check them for you just before your journey). We will collect you from Vila Real and take you to the yacht free of charge.
Alternatively, we can arrange for a transfer from the airport to the marina or vice versa for 60 euros for up to 5 people (12 euros each if there are 5 of you).
Getting to Ayamonte from Seville is also very straightforward. There are daily air-conditioned coaches from the Plaza de Armas bus station with the company Damas. Departure times from Seville to Ayamonte on a Sunday are 11.00; 15.30; 18.00 and 19.00. The ticket costs 10 euros and the journey takes 2 hours with a half hour stop in Huelva where you can actually get off the bus, stretch your legs and have a coffee if you wish. We collect you from Ayamonte station and take you to the yacht free of charge. A taxi from Seville airport to the Plaza de Armas bus station costs about 20 euros.
An airport transfer from Seville to Ayamonte costs 120 euros for up to 5 people.
